Hey y’all hey! Let’s have a chat. This is for me and all, well most of my single people. Yes, we are single, and may be a little lonely at times, but most of us are happy. People have a tendency to assume that because we are single we are sad and miserable but it’s just not true.
We also do not need nor want the pity stares or the questions. In case you aren’t sure what they are I have listed some below for you. Now if you want to hook us up, ask questions…that’s different. LOL!
Single AF but I’m out here living
Yes, I get lonely and I’m over being single, but overall I have a good life so I’m okay. I’m not sure why it’s so hard for people in relationships to get that. I mean y’all were single once, and I’m sure you were lonely at times, but it didn’t mean you were in the house with sappy love songs on repeat. Life is to be lived whether you are in a relationship or single you have to enjoy it.
I’m saying all this to say give us a break. Don’t assume we are miserable or that our life sucks because we don’t have someone. Also, some of us single people may have someone in our life but just don’t want y’all to know yet so keep that in mind too. Not me, though…I’m out here super single.
All I’m saying is don’t make assumptions and don’t keep asking us about it. What we don’t want to do is talk about being single all day. News Flash…we know!

Why are you single?
Have you tried dating apps?
Are you seeing anyone yet?
Are you planning to freeze your eggs?
What are you doing to find him?
Enjoy the single life…relationships are hard.
Do you still want kids?
I don’t understand why you aren’t married.
Do you find it hard to find someone to date?
These are just a few, but you get the point. And here’s the thing I know in your head you are just being helpful or concerned, but imagine everyone you know asking you these same questions. It’s a lot.

The moral of this blog post…leave us alone. It’s enough being single in this day and time we don’t need more pressure. Let us live and let God work. Know that we love you, but it’s draining.
