“Life will only change when you become more committed to your dreams than you are to your comfort zone.” - Billy Cox
I live on the side of comfort…it’s who I am. People try to take me out of it all the time, but I give a strong NO! LOL! There are times I want to live on the wild side (keep in mind; my wild side is toddler level) but fear, judgment, rejection, etc. keeps me from it.
A few Sunday’s ago, my pastor spoke about change and it got me to thinking. He said change is inevitable and change is costly. I get both. I know to grow; you have to change…I mean, that’s a no brainer and the cost could be a good thing if the change is positive. So, why am I so scared to live on the wild side? For me it is the fear of the unknown. I like to know what’s going to happen. I don’t like surprises except for surprise parties or gifts.
I don’t like to feel uncomfortable or be put in uncomfortable situations. I like to have control. I don’t think I’m a control freak, but I like to know what is going to happen.
But at the same time I know I am limiting myself by living over here in my comfort zone. So, I am thinking I may loosen up a bit, but no time soon so don’t rush me but in this year…maybe LOL!
